Amy Rice, Minneapolis:
I am inspired by the urban community in which I live (Minneapolis, MN), childhood toys, vintage botanical prints, my dog Ella, bicycles, street art, and random found objects, collective endeavors that challenge hierarchy, acts of compassion, downright silliness and things with wings.

Alena Hennessey, Asheville NC
It started long ago, this fascination that Alena had for all the little things that she could find outside. She and her childhood friends would romp around from sunrise to sunset, creating little worlds of creatures that would come to life through their illustrations. After art school came an independent study in Florence, Italy, where Alena began to get down to what she loved in art and in life: simplicity, stillness and a sense of little things relating to one another, all peaceful and quiet.
