Artists’ reception Friday, November 4th, 5:30–7:30 pm
Conversations - a collection of works from a group of artists which prior to the exhibition have had little to say to each other. Their works speak volumes however and collectively they converse in a language similar to old friends chatting over a bottle of wine, deep into the night.

Shaio-Ping Wang's paintings with their deep patterning, punctuation symbols immersed in layers of complex color repeat over and over again into the open metal grid patterns and iron ribbon (perhaps a old abandon typewriter ribbon?) in Adam Pearson's floor standing sculptures.

In turn, Nick Park's paintings of sake cups and heavily shadowed, intimate arrangements, murmur questions to Pearson's wall sculptures - which answer with quiet arrangements of unified wire and industrial parts under a flat black or brown paint.

Caityln Cederstrom's riot of abstraction of room views both inside the self and outside the self, shout out to Jared Tueveson's wire and marble sculpture over the more quiet banter elsewhere in the gallery, vibrant and sure of their respective topics and views.

Conversations is a rich symposium of new found friends expressing the best of their thoughts and processes in a visual language which we can all comprehend.
