All of my work begins (of course) with the compulsion to make stuff. It is an all consuming need to produce. This leads me in varied visual directions, sometimes I feel like I know exactly what I am doing. Other times I have no idea. Because the reality of being a craftsperson is many hours alone in the studio, I try to follow my bliss. My work has to delight me and draw me back for more.

I am always delighted by a story and there are so many plotslines to follow. Novels, Netflix, newspapers, podcasts, love lifes, history, family drama, political antics, gossip. These plots bring characters, costumes and environments. They interact. They repeat. Coming of age and Falling in love are both timeless themes. They are worthy of pop songs and they are worthy of porcelain figurines.
