I'm Linda Plaisted, an award-winning, classically-trained American
painter, photographer and mixed media artist who has exhibited my work
in galleries and museums around the world. I've been a pioneer in
contemporary photomontage, founding Many Muses Studio in Washington, DC
a decade ago as a place to explore the marriage of many media.
Each
piece of artwork I create is layered by hand with images I have
captured in my original photography, drawings, paintings and collected
ephemera to create storytelling mixed media pieces with subtle depth
and dreamlike detail.
My unique vision for the landscapes in
which we live, reverence for the natural world and ability to conjure
bittersweet emotion from calm, uncluttered compositions is my trademark
narrative style.
