Elysium Dance Project & artstream present a passage from Masks! A Celebration of life. Join us for a snippet of music, movement and art all wrapped into a moving mobile of children performing with giant masks which were made by children.
These masks were on display last november at the Children's museum and have now come to life with special music written for the project by George Westbay and Burton Green of Manchester and Choreagraphed by Christine M. Simes of Elysium Dance Project of Rollinsford. The original masks were made by children ages 4 to 12 under the direction of Susan Schwake-Larochelle and have been on loan to create this moving sculpture piece. Some of the original children are involved with the final piece. It is ongoing and evolving and will continue to grow with new masks and new children as the year progresses.
